This project was encouraged by the Deans of Berkeley Episcopal Seminary, tested with the Rev. Sandra Stayner and St. Peter's Cheshire, and funded by the Episcopal Church's United Thank Offering Seminarian Grant.
Here you will find two Eucharistic liturgies. Each liturgy accords with the BCP's Order for Eucharist. Under each category you will find three documents : the entire liturgy, the text of the Eucharistic prayer alone, and a description of how we set up and led the liturgy in their original contexts. On each page, you will be able to download these texts as pdfs and folding handouts.
This liturgy was written with the Rev. Sandra Stayner for the monthly Family Service at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, in Cheshire, CT. It was written for a group including infants to young children and their older family members or caregivers, and can be led by just two ministers (including a priest and a musician).
This liturgy was written for the Sunday School’s Little Chapel service at the Church of the Redeemer in Chestnut Hill, MA. It was written for children ages 3-10, with children 10-18 serving as helpers, and with additional adult children's ministers from the Godly Play classrooms. It can be led by just two ministers (including a priest and musician).
This Eucharistic prayer was written for the Church of Our Redeemer in Lexington, MA. It was written for a small outdoor Christmas Eve service in 2021 and we will use it again, now indoors, this year. Unlike the items above, this is not a whole service, but just the Eucharistic Prayer.
Included here are simply the pages from The Book of Common Prayer (1979) and Enriching Our Worship (1998) which outline and oversee liturgies such as these.
